Steven Ujifusa is a historian, resident of Philadelphia, and a member of the University Barge Club.  He is the author of the acclaimed books Barons of the Sea: And Their Race to Build the World's Fastest Clipper Ship (2018) and A Man and His Ship: America's Greatest Naval Architect and His Quest to Build the SS United States (2012), both published by Simon & Schuster. His upcoming book, The Golden Door: Jacob Schiff, J.P. Morgan, Albert Ballin, and the Race to Save Europe's Jews, will be published by HarperColllins. 

 

He is also the author of corporate histories of Airgas and J.M. Forbes & Company.

He received his B.A. from Harvard College and master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
